Carbon and cost optimal materials specifier
What does this feature do?
This feature allows you to make ad hoc materials comparisons without having to create a range of designs. These calculations do not interact with any designs in any way. They can be used for example to choose the best flooring material without having to create a set of designs for flooring.
How do you use this feature?
This feature is available under tools.
Step 1: Select the 'Carbon and cost optimal materials specifier' Step 2: Insert materials to compare
Step 2: Insert materials you want to compare If you do not have a Life Cycle costing tool on your license, you will be asked to set the LCC parameters. The 'financial and social cost' value is taken from the value set on the company account page.
After choosing the materials you can view their emissions on the results page, and use the 'details' tab to further analyze their emissions.
Is this feature available to me?
The material specifier is included in all Expert package licenses.
