Different license types
There are several different license types on the One Click LCA platform. These are the named user licenses, floating user licenses and project-based licenses. While new project-based licenses are normally not available, this license type is used in large-scale projects in which multiple users have to work together on a licensed project. More commonly used now are the named user license type and the floating concurrent license type, with the named user license being a license which one or more users can access at the same time, and the floating license allows for unlimited users which have a limited amount of seats they can access the license with.
What is an owner's license?
An owner's license can be either a named user license or a floating user license. There are two major differences with normal licenses.
- The difference with the owner's license is that this license is managed by a license manager.
- The license manager can add any user (not restricted to users from the owners organization).
The license manager is then able to add the users to the license without the need of contacting support. Owners licenses are typically used by larger organizations who work with different consultancy firms who all need access to their license.
